Could you tell us the reason for the commercialization and the background of your request?
Yoro Railway Co., Ltd. operates the Yoro Line, which runs along the Ibi River in western Gifu Prefecture and northern Mie Prefecture.
I've asked Daio Seisakusho to make ruler goods before, and at that time, they created an existing 15cm ruler with a design.
Our company has a system where employees can freely propose product ideas. How about laying out illustrations of "local station name signs" installed at department stations and trains running on the route?There was a proposal within the company.
I had never seen a 30cm ruler in railroad goods, and of course it was the first time for our company, so we decided to give it a try.
Based on this idea, I consulted with Daio Seisakusho, who I have worked with in the past, to see if it would be possible to make a ruler. .
Are there any points you were particular about when commercializing the product, such as materials and design?
For the acrylic charms and 15cm acrylic rulers for capsule toys that your company has produced so far, we have also asked you to create illustrations of the vehicles, and we were very satisfied with the quality, so I am confident that this time as well. I was able to ask you.
However, since the size of the train illustration is printed smaller than the products I have made so far, the green line on the side of the train is buried in the line depicting the stainless steel corrugated, and you can see it with the naked eye. I've run into a problem that's confusing me.
For that reason, we asked him to prepare several data and samples that fine-tuned the thickness of the lines so that the corrugated and line expressions coexist well, and while comparing the actual samples, we decided on the best balance.
Do you have any impressions or points that you are glad to ask us?
The 30cm ruler is quite long, so not only is it rare as a railroad item, but the scale also has unusual names such as stations, substations, and shunting yards. It is.
In addition, since it was released before the new semester, it was very well received by elementary school children and their parents, and it became a product that greatly contributed to increasing sales.
